Visual Terminal

AirportTools is building a new passenger terminal simulation model called Visual Terminal.  Visual Terminal will allow the quick and efficient modeling of airport terminals while producing realistic results.  The user will be able to evaluate new terminals or alterations of existing terminals on the following sampling of criteria:

  • Capacity
  • Passenger flow
  • Service and quality levels
  • Queue lengths
  • Resource requirements - such as check-in counters and baggage claim areas
  • Walking distances
  • Concessions utilitizations
  • Future demand levels
  • Staffing levels
  • Interactions with rail or people movers

Additonally, Visual Terminal will support multiple buildings, multiple levels or floors within buildings, and multiple areas of interest within a level.  Passengers will be simulated individually, or as part of a group.  Flight schedules can be shared with Visual SIMMOD applications and/or gate operations from Visual SIMMOD can be used to drive demand on the Visual Terminal simulation.

When this new tool is released, AirportTools will make it available at an extremely reasonable price.  No more spending exorbitant amounts of money to program a specific model for a specific airport.  Improvements to Visual Terminal will be made available to all as the improvements become available, thus benefiting all users.
