New Conversion Setting Button:
This button allows you to create a new conversion setting.
Once clicked, S2I asks you for a new conversion setting name. This new name can not be identical to one that
already exists. Spaces are allowed. Quotes (") and apostrophes (') are not allowed since they may interfere
with command line execution. Once a new name is entered, this name appears in the Conversion Settings list with
no conversion-specific settings assigned and no scenarios included.
To make sure this new conversion setting appears the next time S2I executes, users should save before closing
S2I.
or Save Conversion Settings:
This button saves the current study settings, included SIMMOD scenarios, and SIMMOD to INM runway identifiers.
Should a save be needed - e.g. a user setting or runway identifier changes, the following icon appears:
Delete Conversion Setting:
This button allows you to delete the selected conversion setting.
Deletion is not permanent until the data is saved. To restore a deleted conversion, close the application without
saving and reopen it.
Once this button is clicked, the user is asked to confirm his/her choice. Clicking Yes deletes the selected
conversion setting. Clicking No tells S2I to ignore the delete command.
Rename Conversion Setting:
This button allows you to rename the selected conversion setting.
As with the save button, it asks for a new name which must not already be in use. The user can back out by clicking
Cancel. Once the new name has been entered, click Ok. If the new name is a valid one and is not already in use,
the selected conversion setting is renamed in the Conversion Settings list. To make sure it appears the next time
S2I executes, users should save before closing the S2I application.
or Map Aircraft Models:
This button opens the aircraft model mapping tool.
As you may recall, INM has a fixed set of supported aircraft models. SIMMOD, on the other hand, lets users create
their own. This tool allows users to tell S2I which INM aircraft model(s) each SIMMOD model should be converted
into.
If a SIMMOD aircraft model name has an identical INM aircraft model, S2I pre-maps it. Should the user wish a
different mapping, he/she can change it.
It is recommended that this tool be checked each time a SIMMOD scenario is included into a conversion setting
since new aircraft models could be introduced. An unmapped aircraft model stops the conversion with an error.
Should there be unmapped SIMMOD models in the selected conversion setting, this button displays the following
icon:
For more information on this tool, see the model mapping tool.
Help:
This icon links users to the S2I help system.
