Canvas / Basic Mouse Operations

I2S has a canvas which is capable of displaying both INM runways and tracks.
The graphic to the right shows the I2S canvas displaying the sample application "TEST50" supplied with
INM.
The canvas also manages the display of the highlighted items and latitude/longitude values. |

Zoom In - Either the left or the middle mouse button, assuming a three button mouse,
can be used to zoom into a particular area of the map.
- Left mouse: Click on the zoom button (
)
in the toolbar to enable zooming for the left mouse button.
Then press and hold down the left mouse button. Drag the left mouse button from the upper left side of the map
to the lower right side of the map. Let go of the mouse to perform the zoom in.
- Middle mouse: For those with a three button mouse the middle mouse button is dedicated to zooming.
The middle mouse button may be the scroll wheel on your mouse. The actual zoom in procedure is the same as described
above for the left mouse button.

mouse, can be used to zoom out from a particular area of the map.
- Left mouse: Click on the zoom button (

in the toolbar to enable zooming for the left mouse button.
Then press and hold down the left mouse button. Drag the left mouse button from the lower right side of the map
to the upper left side of the map. Let go of the mouse to perform the zoom out.
- Middle mouse: For those with a three button mouse the middle mouse button is dedicated to zooming.
The middle mouse button may be the scroll wheel on your mouse. The actual zoom out procedure is the same as described
above for the left mouse button.

Pan View - Either the left or the right mouse button, assuming at least a two
button mouse, can be used to pan to a different area of the map.
- Left mouse: Click on the pan button (
)
in the toolbar to enable panning for the left mouse button.
Then press and hold down the left mouse button. Drag the left mouse button the desired amount and then let go.
- Right mouse: For those with at least a two button mouse, the right mouse button is dedicated to pan operations.
The usage is the same as for the left mouse button.

Measure distance - The left mouse button, assuming at least a two button
mouse, can be used to measure distances on the map.
Distances are shown in feet for lengths less than 3.0 nautical miles. Greater distances are shown in nautical miles.
After the mouse is released two markers will display on the map graphics providing visual feedback of the last
distance measurement taken.
- Left mouse: Click on the ruler button (
)
in the toolbar to enable measurement capabilities for the left mouse button.
Then press and hold down the left mouse button. Drag the left mouse button the desired amount and then let go.
